INDIA: Philip Morris subsidiary Godfrey Philips violates India's Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act of 2003, which forbids any direct or indirect promotion of any tobacco product or any trademark or brand name associated with any tobacco product in exchange of any sponsorship, gift or prize, and bans tobacco shops with a radius of 100 yards of educational institutions. This photo shows a Godfrey Philips promotion on a university campus that used youngsters, mostly students. The company is offering an attractive free gift with every packet of cigarettes.
